The school was founded in the year 2016 by Namcheybong Lee Trust, is dedicated to their parents late B.D. Lepcha and Chunam Lepcha. It is co-educational school established with a view to provide quality education focusing on the low income grouped population. It is located at Namcheybong Naibutar, Pakyong, Sikkim.

Noah's ark is a story from the Bible about a man named Noah who God chose to build an ark to save himself, his family, and animals from a catastrophic flood that would destroy the earth. Noah followed God's instructions and built the huge ark which could carry all the animals. After the flood, the ark finally rested on dry land and Noah, his family, and the animals disembarked. The story of Noah's ark is often seen as a symbol of God's mercy and redemption.

ARK in the monogram of the school stands for the ark which saved the eight family members of Noah and the animals and the birds of every kind at the time of the great flood which submerged the whole land.
